Created in 1987 as part of the Ratchaprapha Dam project to generate hydroelectric power, the lake now spans over 165 square kilometers. Its emerald waters stretch across a jungle-filled landscape, with towering limestone karsts rising dramatically from the surface, creating a surreal and tranquil atmosphere.

What once began as an energy project has evolved into a thriving eco-tourism hotspot. Floating raft houses and boutique jungle resorts now offer visitors a chance to fully immerse themselves in the untouched wilderness. Whether you're gliding through the lake on a longtail boat, kayaking in quiet coves, hiking to hidden waterfalls, or spotting wildlife like hornbills, gibbons, or even wild elephants—every moment spent in this enchanting park feels like stepping into another world.

Important Notes Before Booking:

This tour departs from Khao Sok Las Orquideas Resort in Khao Sok @ 09:00 AM of the day you booked it. Guests must check in at 08:30 AM that morning. If you cannot get to our resort at that time please email us immediately or use WhatsApp and contact us using this number +66 61 058 2111. We will try to provide you with an alternate solution.

Cheow Lan Lake Package 2 days 1 night

What's Included:

  • One night stay in a Deluxe Bamboo Bungalow with Private Bathroom, at a floating raft-house on Cheow Lan Lake

  • Activities throughout the day: kayaking, swimming, trekking, and long-tail boat touring (see below)

  • Late afternoon tour and early morning water safari around the magnificent Cheow Lan Lake plus a visit to the famous "Khao Sam Krue", the 3 limestone brothers that seemingly rise out of the water.

  • Transfers:

    • From our resort in Khao Sok to the lake pier

    • From the lake pier back to our resort

    • From other locations (with an additional fee ex. airports, train station, etc.) Contact us for more information.

  • 3 meals at the raft-house restaurant

  • 1 meal at a viewpoint on the return to the resort

  • Cave exploring – an opportunity to explore one of Cheow Lan Lake's marvels, the Diamond Cave.
